Here at Pacific Mango we love what we do.

From website development to communication strategies, event management, plublicity and promotion to press releases, newsletters and speech writing, we're experienced and passionate about what we do.

You get the point.

Q: You've seen Andrew's responses, do you agree with them?
A: Pretty much. Although I have to say I'm the better looking one, but he'd probably argue that.

Q: You argue much?
A: No. Well, not really. Sometimes. When you put creative people together, you're bound to get different ways of approaching a solution, and we don't always agree. But by the time we've debated the merits, we've hit new ground that's come from the discussions. For clients, it's excellent. They get ideas that have already been bounced around and punched into shape.

Q: How did you get into design and communications?
A: It's a secret, but a long time ago I fell in love with a Mac. It was a very small Mac looking back now, but it packed a hell of a punch. So much so, I deserted my pc, abandoned my fledgling corporate career and took up design. Much to the disgust of the pc.

Q: But I thought you were in management before you set up Pacific Mango?
A: I was, but opportunities were offered, and I found I was good at management also. Ended up as Communications Manager in the private and public sectors, then 2IC for a local government business unit. It gave me an excellent grounding from a client perspective of marketing strategies, budgets, strategic planning. It was good. I enjoyed it.

Q: So what brought you back to design?
A: In a way, I never really left. I just managed it instead and brought all the elements together in one package for the companies I worked for. One day, I thought I either climb the next rung of the ladder, or I can do this for my own clients, with the added bonus of designing. So that's what I did. And I love what I do.

Q: You both sound as if you love what you do?
A: We do. We've found the balance. I'm the creative designer and communications side and he's the creative marketing and advertising side. And occasionally he can be modest too, so that helps. I see he didn't mention the book he had published by Random House.

Q: He had a book published?
A: Mmmm, Purple Heart in 2007. It received great reviews. Because of the book, he also does a number of speaking engagements around the country. So when we talk about communications and marketing, we speak from experience.

Q: And if Pacific Mango was a McDonalds what would it look like?
A: Well, the shagpile carpeting that Andrew wanted would go the way of the guy with the striped socks and red nose. The comfortable seating would be Eames chairs, but I'm more of a blues girl myself.
